Australia

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit or live in Australia. I am drawn to it because of the beautiful beaches, the exciting outback, and the lively cities. If I ever had the chance to go there I would have plenty of things to do to keep me busy. I could go on adventures including surfing, canoeing, scuba diving, or travel through the outback. There are also many beautiful places that I would be able to see and explore. These places include the Kimberley, the Red Centre, Kangaroo Island, and the Great Barrier Reef. The Kimberley is the Western Part of Australia. While in Kimberley you could ride a camel at sunset down Broome’s Cable Beach, soar over the towers of the Bungle Bungle Ranges, cruise huge Lake Argyle, see tides taller than a building in the Buccaneer Archipelago, four wheel drive the Gibb River Road past gorges and mighty rivers, or follow the red-dirt track from Broome to the remote Dampier Peninsula. The Red Centre is in the center of the Northern Territory. While you are there you could visit Alice Springs, various national parks, and the mountain ranges and canyons. Kangaroo Island is right off the coast of southern Australia. While there you may see kangaroos, sea lions, penguins, koalas, and many other animals. You can have the opportunity to swim, snorkel, dive, or soar through the famous Great Barrier Reef. The main problem with visiting Australia is that it is a very expensive trip. For a round trip flight the lowest price I could find was $2100. The hotels in Australia cost about $150 a night for a good quality hotel. If I wanted to rent a car it would be about $140 a week for a compact vehicle. I would also need a lot of money in order to do all of the things that I want to do and for food. The total price would probably range from 3000-4000 dollars. However, that money would be worth it. Sydney, Australia was ranked number 14 in the top 25 destinations in the world by Travelers Choice.

  1. Hi Jess I think it is really interesting how you want to visit Australia. I have never been there but I heard it was a cool place. My friend in 6th grade was actually from there and moved back in the middle of the year in 6th grade. I love the accents the have there. It is very different then us Americas. It seems like it is not to pricey to go there ether. With a full paying job and money to spend that kind of money is defiantly the trip, especially if it is somewhere that you really want to go. Australia would't be my first place to go but it would defiantly be up there in place I want to visit in my life time. Reading this blog made me realize how interesting the rest of the world actually is. America is cool and all but it is other countries around the world that is worth the experience and the expense. I also like riding camels and it is awesome how you can ride them at night time in Australia because in Israel were I rode a camel they can only be ridden in the morning because the camels get to dehydrated. Australia seems like an awesome place and i will defiantly try to check it out in my life time.

  2. Hey Jess! I totally agree about going to Australia. I would want to go all over Australia if I could, especially to see the wildlife. Riding a camel sounds so cool and I would definitely enjoy doing that. You mention four-wheeling and I have been four-wheeling, it would be incredible to go four-wheeling in Australia. You would get to see the beautiful landscape of Australia. I have always wanted to see a kangaroo as well. I have seen them in zoos but I would love to see any wildlife in Australia. Kangaroo Island sounds like an amazing place to go. I would love to go snorkeling and many other things. Australia is expensive but it would probably be a great experience. I should start saving my money if I really want to go to Australia. I learned a lot about Australia and if I ever took a trip there I would know so much. Thank you!

  3. Hey Jess! I to always wanted to move to Australia, or at least visit it because my mom has been there once and I have only seen the pictures, but she has described to me what she did while she was there and it made me really anxious to go. The one most important reason I want to go to Australia, is to see a real life kangaroo. Kangaroos are my favorite type of animal, and I always wanted to pet one. Hopefully one day I can fulfill that life goal. Thank you
